Product Overview
The IS and IR type horizontal single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps for clean water are energy-saving pumps jointly designed nationwide. They are updated versions of the BA, BL, and other single-stage centrifugal pumps for clean water. Advantages include: a reasonable hydraulic performance layout across the entire series, a wide range of user choices, and convenient maintenance; efficiency and suction head reach international average advanced levels. This type of pump is suitable for industrial and urban water supply and drainage, and can also be used for agricultural irrigation and drainage, as well as for conveying clean water or other liquids with similar physical and chemical properties to clean water, at temperatures not exceeding 80℃.

Features
1. The IS and IR type horizontal single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps for clean water are designed according to the performance and dimensions specified in the international standard ISO 2858. They mainly consist of the pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, sealing ring, shaft sleeve, and suspension bearing assembly.

2. The pump body and pump cover of the IS and IR type horizontal single-stage single-suction centrifugal pumps are split from the back of the impeller, commonly known as a rear-opening structure. Its advantage is convenient maintenance; during maintenance, the pump body, suction line, discharge line, and motor do not need to be moved. Only the intermediate connecting piece of the extended coupling needs to be removed to access the rotor section for maintenance.

3. The pump casing (i.e., the pump body and pump cover) constitutes the pump's working chamber. The impeller, shaft, and rolling bearings constitute the pump's rotor. The suspension bearing assembly supports the pump's rotor, and the rolling bearings are subjected to the pump's radial and axial forces.

4. To balance the axial force of the pump, most pumps have sealing rings at both the front and rear of the impeller, and a balance hole on the rear cover plate of the impeller. Some pumps, due to their small axial force, do not have a sealing ring or balance hole on the back of the impeller.

5. The pump's axial sealing ring consists of a packing gland, packing ring, and packing, etc., to prevent air intake or excessive water leakage. If the pump impeller is balanced, the cavity containing soft packing is connected to the impeller suction inlet. If the liquid at the impeller inlet is under vacuum, air can easily enter along the surface of the shaft sleeve. Therefore, a packing ring is installed in the packing cavity, and pressurized water from the pump chamber is led to the packing ring through a small hole on the pump cover for sealing. If the pump impeller does not have a balance hole, the liquid pressure on the back of the impeller is greater than atmospheric pressure, so there is no air leakage problem, and therefore a packing ring is not required.

6. To prevent shaft wear, a shaft sleeve is installed at the point where the shaft passes through the packing cavity for protection. An O-ring seal is installed between the shaft sleeve and the shaft to prevent air intake or water leakage along the mating surfaces. 7. The pump is connected to the motor via an extended flexible coupling. The pump rotates clockwise when viewed from the drive end.
