A slurry pump is a specialized pump designed for conveying suspended liquids. Its characteristic feature is its ability to handle liquids with high solids content and high viscosity, making it suitable for conveying suspended liquids such as ore pulp, acid pulp, mud, coal slurry, etc. Generally, slurry pumps exhibit wear resistance and corrosion resistance, along with high density and low impact resistance.
The working principle of a slurry pump is to utilize the rotor to drive the liquid into the pump casing and then convey it out of the pump casing.
Specifically, when the rotor rotates, liquid is drawn into the clearance within the pump casing, then driven to flow by the rotor, and ultimately exits the pump casing through the liquid outlet. Simultaneously, the pressure within the pump casing varies as the liquid flows, causing the pressure of the liquid to change accordingly, thus achieving the conveyance of liquid.
